The Lisbon Fire Department is equipped with the most up to date equipment to handle most any type of fire call.
Fire Suppression Whether a barn, vehicle, single or multi-family residence, or industrial building, the Lisbon Fire Department is capable of handing different types of fires. The Lisbon Fire Department is staffed with State of Wisconsin certified Level I or II Firefighters and Motor Pump Driver/ Operators.
Carbon Monoxide Detection/ Investigation A carbon monoxide (CO) detector/ 4-gas meter is carried on our Engine 2662 and is used to detect the source that is emitting carbon monoxide (CO). This detector is used for the safety of residential and department personnel. This device is not used as a final determinant of the cause or repair.
In addition to structure fires, the Lisbon Fire Department is equipped to extinguish grass/ brush fires. With the use of 2681 (Grass Rig) and 2689 (ATV), most fires are quickly extinguished.
Fire Inspection If you own a business or reside in the town and have any questions concerning the fire safety codes or violations you received, please contact the fire inspector at the station.

What is CHF?
CHF or congestive heart failure is a condition resulting from the weakness of the heart muscle, which causes the heart to lose its pumping ability. This can occur from the result of an infarct (heart attack) of the heart muscle. Basically the heart is becoming too weak to pump the blood effectively and it is becoming tired out. Typically with CHF, fluid backs up into the lungs (known as left-sided heart failure) and the fluid may accumulate in the legs (known as right-sided heart failure). With left-sided failure, a patient can experience shortness of breath, which can significantly worsen by lying down, wheezes can be heard when breathing and the patient... (CLIPPED)

Employment
Currently applications are still being accepted, however positions on the fire department can not be guaranteed at this time. All interested individuals can still fill out an application and observe our trainings. Open positions are filled on a quarterly basis.
